        • Royal Bilingual College adopts these eight (8) safety tips to make our students learning environments safe as possible.

                    1) We implement an ID badge policy, we provide positive identification badges for administrators, staff, visitors and even students.  We also provide a protocol on how to handle unidentified individuals within the school.

                    2) We take a proactive approach against bullying by emerging students in team-building activities, responding instantly to hurtful behaviour and involving principles and parents when appropriate.

                    3) We check to see that our classrooms tools and objects are easily accessible for students and not on top of high cabinets or shelves, that way; you eliminate any chance of a student falling while trying to reach an object.

                    4) We raise fire safety awareness with the presence of a fire extinguisher.

                    5) We keep an eye on the latest weather developments to help make weather-related decisions.

                    6) We make counselling services readily available for students and know when students should be referred for emotional and or mental help.

                    7) We regularly check classrooms lock and report any faulty equipment to school maintenance crews for immediate repairs.

                    8) We ensure our students know from day one what constitutes unacceptable behaviours in regards to violence.  This is more amplified through our school wide assemblies twice a week.
